Ein Cegin is a mobile community kitchen which means you might spot our van in communities across Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.
Thanks to funding from Arts Council Wales and Ashley Family Foundation we were able to deliver free art workshops in Cardigan, Llandysul and Aberystwyth to create a collaborative ‘visual identity’ for the community kitchen, including a ‘moving mural’ on our van.
We invited families to paint the first stage of the mural design onto the van. Then, bright and colourful vegetables, developed by participants during the art workshops, were blown up into giant stickers and layered on top.
With huge thanks to our participants for their collaboration on this project and to our brilliant artists Heidi Plant, Seren Stacey, Heidi Baker and Rhi Ellis for bringing the ideas to life.
